It is important if you want to use an image for the background, just fill it out completely, so drop something over the 'design plane'. This prevents that there may be white edges when cutting the printed matter. -Select the image you want to mirror again, on the right side of the menu you will now see two buttons with arrows.

* I would like to duplicate my card in my account, is that possible?
If you have a card saved in your account, you can easily make a copy of this card so that you don't have to re-enter all the texts every time you want to make a second version.
-Open the card you want to make a copy of
-Left in the turquoise menu bar you see 3 dashes in the corner with 'file', click on this.
-You will now see the name of your card, then 2 rectangles with the text; Click on 'Make a copy'.
-A copy of this card is now stored in your account.
-This card can now also be renamed to avoid confusion.
* How can I save my chosen card?
If you are satisfied with your card, it is smart to save it in your account, so that it is not lost. If you have opened your card, you will see a text bar at the top right where you can change the name. You will also see an icon with the text 'Save design'. When you click on that, the card is saved in your account and you can always find it later and edit it further.
The bleed, overflow or cutting margin ensures that there is a little play in the design during the 'clean' cutting of your cards. If you use a photo or pattern in your card as a full-screen background, let this background continue up to the edge outside your card area. This prevents white edges from appearing after cutting the cards. This margin will be visible around the outside of your card when you select and move text or images in our editor.
For each order, the colors are remixed per card in our printing machines. As a result, it is possible that there is a minimal color difference between the previously ordered proof and the final print run.
Choosing the paper is of course something of personal taste. If you order a proof, you will receive all paper samples. With a dark background, we recommend that you choose a paper type without texture. With a smooth paper, the ink has a tight coverage. For designs with a light background, the paper type Old Dutch or Linen (for foil cards) is also nice. These two papers have a tactile texture, which is very nice with light colors, but disadvantageous with dark backgrounds because the ink adheres less well.
* How should the quality of my photo be?
If you want to use a photo in your card, use photos with a size of at least 1 MB (300 dpi) that you need for good print quality. If you have the photos taken by a professional photographer, the photos are often too large in size, so that they are compressed in the design and lose quality. In that case, please contact us and send the photo to us by email, so that we can optimize it for a good result of the printed matter.
It can sometimes be very nice to put a photo in a frame. You can find frames at our images in the image bank. If your photo is not quite the right proportions or does not fit in the desired frame, it is best to crop the photo before uploading it. If you need help with this, please let us know!
